Itinerary
Your journey begins with your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where you will meet your guide. After a briefing on your safari, embark on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park, home to 13 species of primates, including the highest concentration of chimpanzees in Africa. Along the way, enjoy the stunning landscapes of Uganda's countryside, with rolling hills, tea plantations, and small villages. Upon arrival, settle into your lodge and relax in preparation for the next day’s activities.
Start your day with an early breakfast before heading to Kibale Forest for an exhilarating chimpanzee tracking experience. Accompanied by experienced guides, venture into the dense forest to observe these intelligent creatures in their natural habitat. Witness their playful behavior, listen to their calls, and marvel at their close resemblance to humans.
In the afternoon, take a guided walk through the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community conservation area rich in biodiversity. This wetland is a haven for bird enthusiasts and offers a chance to see other primates such as red colobus monkeys and vervet monkeys, as well as colorful butterflies and exotic plant species.
After breakfast, journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda's most popular parks, known for its diverse ecosystems, ranging from savannah to wetlands and lush forests. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
In the evening, embark on a game drive through the park’s vast savannah plains. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and other wildlife. The setting sun casts a golden glow over the landscape, making for stunning photographic opportunities.
Rise early and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to over half of the world’s mountain gorillas. This ancient forest is an ecological treasure trove, known for its incredible biodiversity.
Upon arrival, prepare for the highlight of your safari: gorilla trekking. Guided by expert trackers, navigate through the dense forest in search of a gorilla family. Once you find them, spend an unforgettable hour observing their interactions, watching the silverbacks protect their group, and seeing juveniles play. This close encounter with these gentle giants is a life-changing experience.
On the final day, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your lodge before beginning your journey back to Entebbe. Reflect on the incredible experiences of your safari as you pass through scenic landscapes. Depending on your flight schedule, you may make a stop at the Equator for photographs and souvenir shopping before arriving at the airport for your departure.
